Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School
is situated in lush green fields of salubrious
and absolutely breathe taking environment of village
Rasulpur Kalan and peace full surrounding far
from traffic Chaos and Pollution of the City.
It was founded on Oct 03, 1988 by Chief Khalsa
Diwan to provide Excellent Academic and Moral
Education in rural area. It is situated on Mehta
Road. It is affiliated to Punjab School Education
Board, Mohali, upto Matriculation vide I.D No.
A 531.
Today the school is under the
Dynamic supervision of Honorary Member Incharge
Prof. Hari Singh ji, is leaping across all frontiers
and boundaries, creating milestones in every realm-be
it Academic or Para Academic. A phenomenal Woman
Mrs. Palwinder Kaur (Principal) can rightly claim
the credit of being backbone of the School, who
with her utmost spirit of dedication, untiring
efforts, able administration and charismatic skill
has led the school to heights.
The school has successfully adapted
to the changing times and lays great emphasis
on imbibing the values of Sikhism amongst the
students.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:-
The school aims at developing
among its students a high sense of discipline,
team spirit and courageous perseverance in the
face of difficulties. The mission of the school
is to produce students committed to nation building,
upliftment of society and promoting the human
values .The Spiritual growth of the students is
looked after by inculcation of true spirit of
Sikh Traditions in them through the teachings
of Gurbani, sikh History and Sikh way of life.
FUTURE PLANS:-
Our main aim in future is to
get affiliation for Senior Secondary Classes.
SCNOOL INFRASTRUCTURE:-
Spread over a two acre campus
amidst verdant and fertile land, the institution
boosts of well designed stately building equipped
with first class infrastructure. The new additions
to the campus have greatly increased the academic
and recreational amenities. The School has added
to its expensive structure a Basement, spacious
Examination Hall "Bhai Gurdas Hall"
and an ultra modern Com puter lab. The major highlights
of our unparalleled infrastructure are:-

with its impressive Public dealing offices,
providing good co-ordination between the parents,
Staff and the Principal.

"The wardrobe of Books" acts as a
backbone to the nurturing minds and the institution.
New reference books catering to the demands
of the students have been pifed up. Its rare
collection of books is sufficient enough to
undertake vigorous study program and helps in
teacher training too.
• SCIENCE
LABS:- School has three labs in the
subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology,
with rich collection specimen, slides, charts
and models to be used by the students for their
experiments.
• COMPUTER
LAB:- The school has spacious, well
equipped computer lab consisting of Hi-Tech
computers, latest and advance equipments like
laser, inkjet Printers and Hi -Fi sound system.
• MUSIC
LAB:- A vocal and instrumental well
equipped lab with latest facilities of sitar,
tabla, Music system and a D.V.D player.
• GURDUWARA
SAHIB:- To inculcate the true spirit
of Sikhism, Sri Gurudwara Sahib is established
in school premises.
• PLAY-PEN:-
A new block for Tiny Tots is newly established
with various types of Toys, Enjoy full.
Educational games and different types of rides.
It helps in imparting stress free Education
through Audio- Video Aid. The kids park is also
maintained along.
• FOOD ZONE:
- A procure delicious knick-knacks
and other hygienic eating stuffs are provided
to the students and staff members.
• TUCK SHOP:-
lt is stocked with regular students necessities
such as books, Stationery items, cards, gifts
etc.
• SPORTS
FACILITIES:- The school has a provision
of both indoor and out door sports facilities.
Apart from arranging coaches for different games,
the school also motivates the sports students
to participate in coaching camps and practice
matches.
• GENERATOR:-
A kirlosker by Kirlosker 15 KVA capacity generator
is installed for 24 hours power supply.
ACADEMIC ACHEVEMENTS:-
It is a Co- Educational institute
which provides value oriented Education with English
as a medium of instructions. Special emphasis
is laid on Punjabi language. There are about 600
students on the roll. It is immense pleasure for
our school to have 100% Academic results of Board
and school. Few of our meritorious students are
selected in Merchant Navy and Study Abroad.
SPORTS ACHIEVMENTS:-
Our sports students have carved
a niche in National, State and District level
games. Our school has earned commendable success
in games of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Athletics. Especially
we have always been applaud winners of Kabaddi
and Kho-Kho in inter Sri Guru Harkrishan Public
Schools Sports meet. Deserving sports students
are awarded duly.
FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS:-
The faculty members of our school,
regularly and continuously, involve themselves
in certain intellectual pursuits to chisel and
groom their knowledge .There are 30 faculty members,
showering their blessings and knowledge to get
admirable results of the school. To admire the
efficiency, integrity and sincerity in the performance
of duty, these members are awarded for their distinguished
service on Teacher's Day.
COCURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:-
For overall development of our
students, they are encouraged to participate in
various co-curricular activities. These activities
not only chisel their creative sensibilities but
also help them in becoming complete and perfect
Human Beings. Some of these activities are as

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION:-
It consists of 18 members from
local area and school itself, who are profoundly
dedicated to the cause of the over all progress
of the school. This Association co-ordinates with
the Principal, Staff and Parents for smooth functioning
of the school
PURCHASE COMMITTEE:-
This committee comprises the
school staff members. The multifarious purchasing
activities of the school are executed by this
committee and the same is supervised and recommended
by the principal to the Honorary Member Incharge
for final approval.
SCHOOL MAGAZINE:-
The School Magazine SIRJANA is
an effort to tap the latent creative potential
of budding writers. The annual issue of the same
is brought out by an Editorial board comprising
Patron (Hony Member Incharge), Editor in-chief
(Principal), subject Editors and students Editors
who have flair for writing and expression.
EXCURSIONS AND TOURS:-
An Educational, Historical and
other Recreational trips are organized by the
school.
FESTIVALS AND RJNCTIONS:-
Our school regularly organizes
various festivals, functions and Gala events to
promote cultural and traditional values of society
in the young minds adding viva and color to their
lives.

and religiosity marked the occasion of Shaheedi
Gurpurab of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji was solemnized,
chabeel and langar are arranged .A melodious
and soulful rendering of Shabad Kirtan on Prakash
Utsav of Ten Guru Sahibans.
• The symbol of
traditional Punjabi Culture is celebrated with
vigor and zeal as TEEJ FESTIVAL
• The Students showing
their feelings of respect and regard laced with
affection for their teachers is celebrated as
Teachers Day.
• The Festival of
Lohri and Baisakhi is celebrated with great
Fun and frolic.
• Annual Prize distribution
ceremony for awarding roll of honour for meritorious

• As per the perennial
law of the nature, the spring season of March
brought it its wake a host of parting and farewells.
• To mark the national
brotherhoodness Independence and Republic Days
are celebrated.
• The day packed
with various items such as choreography, skits,
and dances, songs etc. is zipped and hosted
as GALA FETE.
• Kite competition
to welcome spring season called Basant.
