And this was one of thechallenges we set before ourself as we went out conceiving and desiging the Shri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Patti. The school was establised in 1977 by Chief Khalsa Diwan, Amritsar with a view to provide moderen education with the best of western outlook and Indian culture. The foundation stone for the school building was laid by the then Baba Kharak Singh ji, the eminent Sikh Saint from Bir Baba Budha ji. Spread over 8 acres the school campus caters to the needs of our students. A congenial environment is provided for educational activties to promote all around development of the child. The campus provide a serene and spiritual environment opportunity for each child to excel mentally physically and spiritually.

The school follows the 10+2 pattern and has classes from Nursery to XII std. The medium of instruction is English right from the begining. The school is affilated to Punjab School Education Board, S.A.S. Nagar and also has permanent reorganization from Punjab Govt. Students appear for the PunjabSchool Education Board examination at the end of std. VIII std. X std. XII. The students results, right from the begining, have been excellent at aboard level examination and our students have sucessfully gained admission to various proffessional institution in India and abroad.

Infrastucture

The school building has a grand complex. It is equipped with ultra modern amenties like Computer labs, Multi Media Labs, Science labs; Play gound, chldren parks,Generators, Dispensary, Water cooler,Toy rooms, Cycle stand, Gurudwara etc. all classrooms are quite spacious and airy.

The school library is a learning resource center in the widest sence as it houses the school's information resources. The library is well stocked with a wide collection of books on a variety of subjects. The school library fosters the development of life long learning abilities and love for reading in the students. Computer Lab

There is a well equipped computer lab in the school. We have competent teachers to train the students in the latest software medium and keep them update with the latest computing skills. Begining from the primary, we focus on keyboarding, word processing and internet skills. Agood collection of Educational Software touching multifarious subjects is available in the labs for the use of teachers and students.

Hence, to keep our students abreast of the technology driven times we ensure that the practical knowledge is at par with the theoretical knowledge. The science labs are located at the first floor of the school building. It is spacious and well lit room. The science labs are well equipped with the modern scientific instruments and apparatus. Science without experimentation is lame and thus our "four fold objective" of having a lab is:-
