Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School Chief Khalsa Diwan, Pandori Khajoor was set up by Chief Khalsa Diwan on 6 th April, 1998.Late S. Mohinder Singh Sarpanch and the Panchayat members of Pandori Khajoor will be remembered for their contribution to the school. The school is looked after by the local management headed by the member incharges nominated by Chief Khalsa Diwan. The school is affliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It is run on public school lines with English as the medium of instruction. The school has a land area of five acres. It is situated in a pollution free environment away from the din of the city. The triple storey school building consists of 58 spacious, well ventilated and lighted rooms with sufficient furniture. More rooms are under construction. The school has about 1800 students on its rolls spread from Nursery to lO^.The teaching staff consists of about 70 well qualified, experienced and hard working members.

The school has its own playground, probably largest in the area for football,volleyball, handball badminton,Kho-kho,kabbadi ets. A sports meet of all the Sri Guru Harkrishan Public school is held every year.Recently our students stood first in the primary sports and bagged many prizes at the middle and high atheletics. A computer lab equipped with the latest systems, has been established. The students learn by doing under the guidance of well qualified computer faculty. The curriculum has been framed to suit the need of the hour. The school has well equipped physics and chemistry labs. A software which contains Science and Mathematics syllabus from 1st to 10th std has been installed along with a LCD projector. A mathematics laboratory has been set up as per the instructions of the Central Board of Secondary Ecucation. Maths has been made interesting with the introduction of projects work which includes various activities and practical. To inculcate the habit of reading, the school has a library equipped with all kinds of books, magazines and encyclopedias to cater to the needs and interest of the students. There is a library period for each class in a week. The students also learn to play Harmonium, Sitar, Tanpura and Tabla, Divinity is taught as compulsory subjects from Nursery class. Apart from curriculum, the co-curricular activities like poem recitation,handwriting and drawing competitions,Gurbani Kanth. Gurbani Kirtan, Dastar Sajawan Speech and Quiz competition are held Students participate in competitions outside the school also. The health of the students is looked after by conducting free medical check up twice a year. First aid is given in case of emergency.

During the past years the school has grown by leaps and bounds. It has taken interest in keeping up the academic standard of brilliance and in providing all round information to the students. Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School has been able to lead thousands of young students along the path of courage and wisdom. All this has been possible by the grace of the Almighty, the patronage of Chief Khalsa Diwan, the able guidance of the local Managing Committee the Co-operation of the parents, the devotion of the staff and the hard work put in by the students. May it progress further at a greater pace.
