SINGH
MR. JASPAL
SINGH S/o Late Sardar Mehtab Singh is a qualified Mechanical
Engineer with specialisation in Refrigeration. His business
interests are in trading and manufacturing. His father established
in 1947, The Hindustan Refrigeration Group, having manufacturing
units at Noida and in Chennai, in the south of India.
He is also
a member of various chambers of Commerce, including
- PHD Chamber
- Indo American
Chamber of Commerce
- Indo German
Chamber of Commerce
- The Indo
Arab Chamber of Commerce
He is also
the Ex-President of All India
Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Association.
The family
promoted various Schools, including the Guru Harkishan Public
School in New Delhi and in 1969 the Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary
Schools were established at Mussoorie. The Schools are residential
and are spread over in two separate campuses for boys and girls.
They also run a Guru Nanak Bal Vidya Mandir and which is essentially
for the class IV staff children, as well as for the children of
the surrounding villages.
The family
also promoted the setting up of an Engineering College (Diploma
& Degree) Guru Teg Bahadar Khalsa Institute
of Business & Technology at Malout (Punjab).
Lately also
has been set up the Guru Nanak Sukhshala at New Rajinder Nagar,
New Delhi & which is a home for the aged.
He is also
the DIRECTOR - ASIA of UNITED
SIKHS - a non-profit, non-governmental human development organization,
based in London & USA, and involved in global activities of the
SIKH DIASPORA.
He is also
associated with the VIMHANS Hospital
in New Delhi and which is a speciality hospital in the field of
Neuroscience's.
The family
was deeply involved in the rehabilitation of the displaced and
affected people in the unfortunate 1984 riots and set up the Nishkam
Sikh Welfare Council. He is also the Chariman
of the Gurmat Parchar Trust, New Delhi and is promoting the spirit
of Parchar and Jeewan Janch, and also a non-profit organization,
LIVING TREASURE.
Incidentally,
he is also the President of
the CHIEF KHALSA DIWAN, New Delhi and has been instrumental in
the setting up of the OPD and operation theatre in Nehru Nagar,
New Delhi, under the management of Chief Khalsa Diwan, Amritsar.
