Delhi Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Majilha
Road By Pass, the pride of Amritsar, established
in 1986 at Basant Avenue with a modest beginning,
is known for its high academic and moral standards
and achievements in various fields. The credit
for this goes to the indefatigable and sustained
efforts of the Management, the administrative
acumen of the Principal and the dedication and
cooperation of the team of highly qualified and
experienced teachers. Affiliated to the Central
Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, it has set
a high tradition of showing excellent results
every year.
The affiliation was originally granted to the
school when at Basant Avenue, but with a condition
that it be shifted to a bigger campus of at least
2 acres. It was in compliance with this condition
that the school was shifted to Majitha Road By-Pass
and an application for permanent affiliation has
been forwarded to the CBSE, Delhi. At the pinnacle
of its glory, the school imparts teaching from
Pre-Nursery to X standard. The total strength
of students is 620. The aim of the school is to
provide quality education not only to the wards
of the privileged city dwellers, but also to those
residing in rural areas, deprived of good educational
facilities. Campus The school covers an area of
about 4 acres. A magnificent building is under
way of which 25 well ventilated rooms with modern
amenities have been completed. Staff & Pupils
